Why Redbridge houses lose more heat than they should
Most of Redbridge was built during the 1870s onwards, with heavy rebuilding after 1945, and its roofs are typically a mix of original slate, replacement concrete tile and flat or shallow roofs on later blocks. Nothing about that construction is defective — these are, for the most part, sound, well-built houses.
