Get a free loft insulation quote

Tell us about your home and we will arrange a free, no-obligation survey. You get a fixed price in writing — not a range, not an estimate, and not a figure that changes once somebody has been up the ladder.

  • No call-out charge and no obligation to proceed
  • Fixed written price, valid for 30 days
  • Honest assessment — including "you don't need this"
  • Evening and Saturday appointments available

Prefer to talk? Call 07960 485880 or email info@insulationloft.co.uk. We are open Mon–Sat, 8am–6pm.

The more you can tell us now, the more useful the survey is when we arrive.

None of this is compulsory. It just makes the survey more useful.

We reply to every enquiry, usually the same working day. We never pass your details to third parties and we do not add you to a marketing list.

What happens after you press send

  1. We call you back

Usually within a few working hours. We ask a couple of quick questions — mainly about access and what is up there already — and offer you survey slots, including evenings and Saturdays.

  2. The survey

Half an hour, give or take. We measure the loft, check joist depths, assess the existing insulation, look at the eaves ventilation and check for any signs of condensation or leaks that need dealing with first.

  3. The quote

A fixed written price, emailed the same day or the next, itemised so you can see what each element costs. It is valid for 30 days and it does not move.

  4. Your decision

Entirely yours. We do not chase, we do not run "this week only" pricing, and we do not mind being told no. If you want to think about it for six months, the quote will still be honoured when you come back.

Landlords, agents and multiple properties

If you are quoting for a portfolio rather than a single home, say so in the message box and we will arrange a single visit covering several addresses. We can also supply our public liability certificate and product documentation up front for your compliance records.

What makes a quote go up — and what does not

People often assume the price tracks the size of the house. It tracks the difficulty of the loft, which is a different thing entirely. A large, square, well-lit loft with a wide hatch and 150mm joists is quicker to insulate than a small, cramped one reached through a 400mm opening on a landing with no room for a ladder.

Things that genuinely add cost

  • Removing old material. Damp, vermin-contaminated or collapsed insulation has to be bagged and disposed of before anything new goes down. It is unpleasant, slow work and we always show it as a separate line so you can see it.
  • Restricted access. A narrow hatch, a loft over a stairwell, or a trussed roof with dense webbing all slow the job down.
  • Boarding. Battening out to keep the insulation uncompressed is more work than laying boards flat, and it is the only version worth having.
  • Ventilation remedies. Where a roof has no usable airflow, that needs fixing before more insulation goes in.

Things that do not

Asking questions. Requesting a second visit. Changing your mind about boarding after the survey. Taking three months to decide. None of those carry a charge, and none of them change the price we quoted.

Your quote is fixed, and it means fixed

Once we have surveyed the loft and written a price, that price is what you pay. The whole purpose of insisting on a survey before quoting is that we have already seen the things that would otherwise become a mid-job phone call about unforeseen extras. If we get something wrong, that is our error to absorb, not your bill to increase.

What you are buying

A fixed price, work that is done once and done properly, and a loft you can actually use.
