What we find in Eltham roof spaces
The roofs over Eltham are mostly pitched tile and slate roofs with reasonable head height, and hipped ends on the interwar semis that reduce the usable void, and they were built during the 1880s through the 1930s for a housing market with no expectation of thermal performance. Hipped roofs on 1930s semis cut the usable loft area down sharply at the corners, which changes how much of it is worth boarding, which is one more reason we measure rather than assume.
